Odins 1st beach trip | 6 months
This past month Chris and I took Odin on his first ever vacation! We stayed in the beautiful Naples, FL. We were so excited to see his reaction to the sand and the ocean for the first time. The water he LOVED, the sand....he ate. Overall we had the most wonderful getaway and being able to go on our first family vacation as a family of three was so much fun!!
Six months has come and gone with our sweet boy. HALF A YEAR!!!! When people tell you not to blink, please hear them and DO NOT DO IT! I just sit and think back to how just six months ago we were preparing for his arrival. All the tears, and fear, and excitement, and anticipation of becoming parents was so real and terrifying. I was so ready to meet this sweet little boy we had been waiting what felt like a lifetime for. Then February came, and he decided to show up three weeks early. Of course he did! If you know me, you know I'm a planner. I get horrible anxiety if things are not planned out in my life. So the fact he came early threw me in a complete whirlwind. I held each day so close to my heart. I took photos every. single. day. I have videos, and memories to last a lifetime stored away. I just can't seem to ever get enough of him. I never take a day with him for granted because I know how special he truly is. We are blessed and I just can't thank God enough for this beautiful baby boy we get to call ours.
The past month has brought a lot of new territory. Odin has decided to start throwing a fit when he is told no. (check out the crying photo below, we told him he could not eat the sand...). He decided to start making all sorts of funny faces. He has SIX teeth!!! Yes! You read that correctly...SIX! OUCH! He sits up all on his own. He LOVES bath time. Peaches are his JAM! He loves being nosey and constantly looking around to see what he can get into. Mickey mouse makes him smile on cue. He is huge and I'm still unclear how I produced such a chunk of a babe. He spends his free time rolling around the floor in all directions trying to reach his final destination. He hates having his face wiped off and being told no. He also hates his carseat. The past six months have been hard, but boy have they been the best months of our LIVES!!! We cant wait to see what the next six months hold!
